Mrs. Jean K.
"I wore hard contact since 1971. I could not even drive without corrective lenses before LASIK. After my surgery my eyes adjusted very easily, and my vision is steadily improving. It is wonderful!"
"I wore glasses all my life, and trifocals for the last 12 years. I was 20/ 350 in one eye ! Now I can get by all day without glasses. My 21 year old daughter is going to see Dr. Fiander for LASIK as soon as possible!"
"It's a miracle! I had laser eye surgery in December 1998 and for the first time in my life I can see clearly. When I was four years old I got my first pair of glasses and they were as thick as the bottom of a Coca-Cola bottle. When I was twenty-four years old I got my first pair of hard contact lenses. When I didn't have corrective lenses on, I could see less than one foot.
Even with corrective lenses I couldn't see the way I wanted to. I had heard about corrective laser eye surgery but kept putting it off. I was scared. I thought it wouldn't work.
The 15 minutes I spent with Dr. Donald Fiander at the Farmington Laser Eye Center was the best 15 minutes I spent in my life. When the surgery was complete and the doctor told me to open my eyes - it was truly a miracle. For the first time in my life, I could see clearly. It is still hard for me to believe that I can see so clearly but if Dr. Fiander could provide the miracle of sight to me, he can do it for anyone."
"Before having LASIK surgery, I was practically blind with a vision field of two inches without my glasses. If I looked at a clock on the wall without my glasses I couldn't even see the wall. Now, after Dr. Fiander performed LASIK surgery on both eyes, I am 20/20 in one eye and pretty close to that in the other. Now I feel like I am free! It's a modern day miracle. Sound familiar?"
"I had LASIK on both eyes when I was 45 and pretty much needed my reading glasses any time I was reading. I keep a pair of driving glasses in the car for night driving but I don't have to keep putting my glasses off and on all day at work to see the small numbers on the equipment and then take them off to see something across the room. I no longer need to make sure I have them with me every time I want to see a menu or read the newspaper.
I've worn glasses or contacts since I was a seven years old and it's wonderful to be rid of the daily hassle. I never thought my contacts took up a lot of my time until I didn't have to do it any more. It's great to be able to see the alarm clock when I wake up and actually recognize the other faces in a swimming pool."
"The procedure was short, painless, I went home right away. Dr. Fiander was very calm and confident. Immediately after the operation, I regained my peripheral vision which I had lost more than twenty five years ago."
